Textbook Return and Exchange Policy

Returns and exchanges are gladly accepted under the following guidelines:

What is the textbook return policy for Spring 2017?
  • Internet order receipt dated on or after December 26, 2016.
  • A cash register receipt dated on or after January 3, 2017 MUST accompany every return.
  • Purchases made with a check must wait 5 business days for cash refund.
  • A current Fresno State I.D. must be presented.
  • Textbooks must be in the same condition as when purchased.
  • New textbooks cannot be marked or defaced.
  • eBooks that have been activated through your computer are NOT returnable.  Sorry, no exceptions.
  • Textbook Rentals-follows the same guidelines as textbook returns.
  • Full refund for the period December 26, 2016 to January 23, 2017. From the period January 24, 2017 to January 30, 2017 a proof of drop will be required to return textbooks. Students that do not have a proof of drop will be charged a 10% restocking fee.
  • No returns after January 30, 2017.
  • *It is encouraged to attend class prior to purchasing Copy Center materials.

How do I return my textbooks?
  • Textbooks may be returned either by return shipment or at the bookstore.
  • No returns after January 30, 2017.
  • Returns are accepted Monday - Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Returns by shipments must be postmarked by January 30, 2017.

  • Return in person to the bookstores Customer Service Department.
  • Return by mail. Note: we do not refund shipping and handling fees. Textbooks (new, used, rental, and digital) must be returned by the due dates above to receive a refund. Digital books that have been activated cannot be returned. When shipping your return include a copy of the packing list. Please email for assistance.

Here are the steps to return your item(s) for a refund.
  • Package your items securely so there is no damage or lost items while in transit.
  • A copy of your shipping confirmation email or order details should be sent with your return. If you do not have your shipping confirmation or order details, then simply include a note with your name, address, and order number. Refunds may be delayed if the return cannot be identified.
  • Return shipping is at your expense unless Kennel Bookstore has committed an error with the order. It is suggested to use a traceable, insured method of shipping when returning your item(s) as we are not liable for lost or damaged packages. Retain your tracking information and shipping receipt until your refund is issued. Ground or equivalent level of shipping is sufficient.
